This semester, Fordham Law welcomes its first class of MSL students and largest-ever spring class of LLM students.
In January, Fordham Law School welcomed 52 new students into its LLM program, the largest spring intake to date. The new LLM students received their primary law degrees from 26 countries, including Brazil, Chile, Iran, France, Germany, Japan, Macedonia, Nigeria, Qatar, and the United Kingdom, among others. The breakdown of students by LLM specialization is as follows:
- 15 in the Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law Program
- 10 in the International Law and Justice Program
- 8 in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Program
- 7 in the International Business and Trade Law Program
- 6 in the U.S. Law Program
- 4 in the Corporate Compliance Program
- 1 in the International Dispute Resolution Program
- 1 in the Fashion Law Program
The Law School also welcomed its first cohort of students into the Master of Studies in Law (MSL) program. The inaugural MSL class of 13 comprises students who primarily received their bachelor’s degrees from colleges and universities in the United States, including Boston University, Iona College, New York University, Princeton University, and University of California Santa Cruz. Most of the MSL students already have significant professional experience in their respective fields of study—either corporate compliance or fashion law.
With this incoming class, the graduate program now includes a total of 179 currently enrolled LLM students, 13 MSL students, and 14 SJD candidates.
